?A 50 year old man enters the dental surgery for a routine check up. Upon examination you notice a build up of plaque and a reddening of the gums. In addition, you notice around some teeth, small periodontal pockets (>2 mm) which bleed slightly on probing. You advise the patient he has gingivitis and you prescribe him Chlorhexidine (an antimicrobial mouthwash).
